Knowing that it is not common in the southside to rely on tankers and these types of water shuttles for fireground operations Chief Tim Clark , Lt. Jr Kerns , Lt. James Kidwell , F/F Eric Mutchler , F/F Matt Espieg headed down to baden for the annual southside water supply drill. After meeting at company 36 for light refreshments and some pre - planning everybody headed down to a rural part of aquasco to start the operation. The goal of this drill was to simulate keeping a constant water supply to a fireground operation using only tanker shuttles and drafting operations. For almost 2 hours units from Marlboro , Baden , Brandywine , Clinton , Hughesville , and Prince Frederick did just that. With the fill site and dump site being almost 4 miles apart it was as close as you could get to an actual operation. Thanks to Chief 25 Robert Smalls and Chief 36 Bobby Brien for heading up this drill , alot was learned by all. Also a big thank you to Baden VFD for providing lunch for everybody once the drill was over.
