Joseph Purdy was an early member of the department in the 1930’s. There are very few records from this time frame but a search revealed he was born on October 22, 1902 and was laid to rest May 3, 1979, with his final resting place at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Totowa, Passaic County, New Jersey
