The Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department responds to all types of emergency and non emergency calls, fire, rescue, and emergency medical responses. As with any fire and rescue organization, high call volumes and community service needs takes its toll on apparatus and equipment, with age and use the need to replace, repair, and update these costly items is needed to help us better achieve our goals of protecting the citizens and visitors to the Upper Marlboro and surrounding areas. The average cost of a new Engine ranges from $300,00–$700,000, and smaller items such as Thermal Imagers start in the $500 dollar range for a basic unit.
Due to the high cost of repairing, replacing, and upgrading this valuable equipment, we rely on our community partners for donations, from the citizens and businesses we serve.
